Project Type: New build with full lighting control, motorized shading and integration
Challenge: A need for a simple interface to control lighting, audio and video, blinds, fireplaces, HVAC and security
Solution: The Vantage Infusion controller is used with RadioLink and EasyTouch II dimmers throughout the house. The system was designed from the onset to place the EasyTouch II keypad dimmers strategically and conveniently for easy use without cluttering a wall and to eliminate the need for three-way wiring which was a significant cost-saving on the electrical installation.
For example, in the kitchen area there are 6 lighting loads. Instead of having 6 switches all together in one location on a wall, the dimmers were install in pairs in three convenient locations. From anyone of these locations, all 6 lighting loads could be controlled individually or together in scenes. The keypads also control audio and Qmotion shades. An in-wall touchscreen running the Equinox app provides control of all functions of the house including lighting, audio, video, HVAC, security, shades, garage doors and fireplaces.

Qmotion Shades
Qmotion Shades’ unique design are powered with low voltage over Cat5e cable which is also used for commands and feed back on their current setting. Their spring technology provides efficient use of power and are extremely quiet. One motor can be used to raise and lower multiple Qlink shades.
